Bucks Run gated community opens this year in Golden Gate Estates
A new gated community will soon sprout in Golden Gate Estates.
Bucks Run, a 24-acre, single-family home community, will be off Vanderbilt Beach Road and Collier Boulevard, near dining and shopping.
The community will have 60 home sites.
It will be the 16th Southwest Florida community D.R. Horton closed on, said Jill Hoffman-Meeks, D.R. Horton’s Southwest Florida vice president of sales and marketing, in a statement.
Models are expected to open in November. The goal is to have immediate occupancy in December, said marketing coordinator Lindsey Yunck.
Texas-based D.R. Horton will also offer to-be-built homes for customers, Yunck said.
The community features five floor plans, ranging from approximately 1,804 to 3,552 square feet. Two of the five flour plans are new, Yunck said.
Bucks Run homes are priced from the mid $200,000s, said the news release.
Brenda Fioretti, Naples Area Board of Realtors president and managing broker of Prudential Florida Realty, said she was unaware of the new community but Realtors are always excited to sell new construction.
"I’m happy to see new home inventory added to our market, especially new homes, people always like new homes," Fioretti said.
D.R. Horton is building 15 other gated communities in Southwest Florida, including Valencia Golf and Country Club, a single-family home community in Naples, and Terra Vista, a multi-family home community in Estero.
D.R. Horton officials declined to comment on other projects they are pursuing.
