The changing of hairstyle every year is one of the factors that are usually considered to change every year. They say that a hairstyle must be in line with the figure of the person’s face.

Based on the human anatomy of a person, they are many types of face forms -- oval, round, rectangular/square, heart, square, triangular, diamond, oblong, and many more.

Determining your face shape will help you decide on what kind of hairstyle fits you most.

The following are some of the factors that can help you determine the shape of your face:

Oval – if the length will be equal to one and a half times the width.

Round – if your face shape is as wide as it is long. This may vary a little but generally, the measurement is close.

Rectangular -- if your face shape is longer than it is wide.

Heart – if your face shape is narrow at jaw line, wide at cheekbones/and or forehead.

Square – if your face shape is about as wide as it is long.

Triangular – if your face shape is narrower at the temples and is wider at the jaw bone.

Diamond – if your face shape is widest at cheekbones, and narrow forehead and jaw line of approximately equal widths.

By knowing your face shape, it is much easy for you to decide on what hairstyle fits you the most.

According to fashion experts, 2012 is the year of contrast fashion, a trend year of revival and evolution. In the hairstyle world, this year marks the true start of a new decade.

For the women, big curls, wet looking, French twists and wavy hair are most likely popular. These can be applied to any hair length and is suited to all hair colors, which brings a new wave of era for the hair styling.
