UTSA ranks high for core subjects
The American Council of Trustees and Alumni gave the University of Texas at San Antonio an “A” on its annual “What Will They Learn?” report, which grades public and private universities on how well they cover core subjects.
The survey included 1,007 four-year institutions, which enroll more than 7 million undergraduate students. UTSA was one of 19 schools to receive an “A” for requiring at least six of seven core subjects — composition, U.S. government or history, economics, literature, math, science and foreign language at an intermediate level.
Other Texas schools that received an “A” include Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Baylor University.
