Dorothy M. Wilson Valentine
Dorothy M. Wilson Valentine, 91, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011 at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospice.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery in Dallas.
Mrs. Valentine was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Dallas to Davis A. and Lucille Lois Fort Wilson. She attended Dallas public schools and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1937.
Mrs. Valentine was married for 68 years to William F. Valentine of Amarillo. The couple married Dec. 19, 1942, in Red Bank, N. J., just before then-2nd Lt. Valentine shipped overseas during World War II.
Mrs.Valentine and her husband resided in Centre Central Park Harrington Assisted Living in Amarillo, at the time of his death.
Ms. Valentine and her husband came to Amarillo in 1980. She worked with him on a variety of projects, construction management around the city, including St. Anthony Hospice, Amarillo Independent School District, Amarillo College and St. Andrew's Church Episcopal. It was also used in executive offices at the Hospital Saint-Antoine.
Ms. Valentine was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Davis D. Fort James Wilson and Wilson.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Haskovce and husband, Kenneth of Ennis and Lyn Graham and husband Kent of Moore, Okla.; three grandsons, Justin Graham and wife Kimber of Plano, Maj. Jonathan Graham and wife Dana of Plano and Dr. Jeremy Graham of Portland, Ore; four great-grandchildren, Keira and Danielle Graham of Prattville, Ala. and Riley and Duncan Graham of Plano.; and six nieces, Nancy Valentine Chupp of Joshua; Vicki Valentine Wright and husband Jimmy of Garland, Dr. Carol Wilson of Sanger; Adrian Wilson Anderson and husband David of Denton, Nancy Wilson Humphrey and husband Irving of Farmers Branch, and Tess Wilson Swindle and husband Gary of Columbus.

20 at 3 pm at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with the Revs. Walt and Barbara Marcum presiding. Donations can be made in his memory to the schools where he tutored: Obediah Knight Elementary and TV Rusk Middle School.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney. Dr. Moore was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 7, 1938, to Tom and Minerva (Swaney) Moore. He and Patsy Hale were married on March 25, 1961, in Goldthwaite, Texas.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 15, 2011 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Interment to follow at DFW National Cemetery at 1:30 pm
